We realise that the school-leaving phase is certainly a critical period in the life of a student. Appropriate career planning is vital to ensure that students are well informed about career options and that they are able to understand their own capabilities and align themselves with potential future career choices.
Making the right choice depends largely on possessing a thorough knowledge of oneself as well as the work environment. A student should be clear about his / her interests, values, needs, aptitudes and abilities.

Career development and counselling are integral parts of our education system. In-house career services include administering interest and aptitude tests, and
helping students discover and choose their careers through interactive activities designed and developed by GEMS Counsellors.
The career guidance programme provides students with comprehensive career options and helps them to seek avenues that are aligned with their abilities.
Beginning during Grade 11, the Career Guidance Programme involves a variety of activities to help students determine future careers including:
| • |
Educational trips to private and public sector organisations |
| • |
Regular aptitude tests conducted with professional assistance |
| • |
Guest lectures followed by group guidance and individual counselling |
