Our Own English High School provides an excellent set of ICT resources that are used to encourage the exploration and use of computers, networks and the Internet. These excellent resources are all aimed at enhancing the quality of teaching and learning within school. Each teacher is provided with a laptop and all class rooms and Labs have LCD Projectors and internet facility to enhance the use of ICT in the learning process.
Our ICT centre has been designed
with dual objectives in mind. Firstly, to help pupils become familiar with modern hardware and software and promote the early acquisition of fundamental computing skills through the careful use of ICT in their work. And secondly, to prepare them for the fast-paced information age and possible further advances in technology that await them when they step onto the world stage, making them adept at problem solving and information research.
A full range of eLearning resources,
web-based materials and leading educational software is available during lessons. Our ICT labs are equipped with Smartboards and projectors, high speed internet access, and a wide range of interactive learning aids.
ICT is rapidly growing in importance and we offer Computer Technology and Informatics as core curriculum subjects at the Senior Secondary Level. The two labs for the Senior school have the latest software for elective subjects: Computer Science and Informatics Practices.
In addition tot he ICT labs, the Senior School library is also equipped with computers enabling students to have access to computers and the Internet to support individual study and learning.
