Ms. Jayasree Jayachandran

Ms. Jayasree Jayachandran is a passionate and dedicated educator with over three decades of experience in the field of education, including 27 glorious years of service at GEMS Our Own English High School, Dubai. She began her career as a Primary teacher in 1998 and progressed through key leadership roles to serve as the Head of Primary School, leading the largest phase at GEMS OOD with 105 sections, 173 teachers, and eight supervisors. Over the years, she has adorned various roles, including National Agenda coordinator, Parent Engagement Champion and Deputy CPD Coordinator.

A recipient of the Best Teacher Award in 2008 and 2012, she is an accomplished educational leader known for her strategic vision, strong interpersonal skills, and commitment to holistic education with a focus on the development of 21st-century skills. She serves as the TLAG Champion, mentoring senior leaders across KG and Primary, and leads on the GEMS Genius Programme as well.

Ms. Jayasree has played a pivotal role in curriculum development, including designing the life skills programme and integrating financial literacy into the Primary curriculum. She is highly regarded for planning and delivering impactful professional development programmes that strengthen instructional leadership and enhance classroom practice. She has effectively facilitated a variety of co-curricular programs aimed at nurturing students’ overall growth

She is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive, high-performing school culture that empowers students, teachers, and leaders to excel and sustain continuous improvement. Her contributions continue to shape the ethos and excellence of GEMS Our Own English High School, Dubai.
