Ms. Norma Gallyot

Ms Norma Gallyot began her career in early childhood education as a Teaching Assistant at GEMS Our Own English High School, Dubai, in 2009. Advancing to Class Teacher and later to Master Teacher, she led by mentoring colleagues, guiding teacher performance reviews, and driving professional growth to raise teaching standards and enhance classroom learning experiences. Along the way, she contributed to several internal GEMS reviews, gaining expertise in quality standards and effective lesson observations. This has further strengthened her ability to mentor and support teacher development. Additionally, Ms Norma has spearheaded key school initiatives such as the Afternoon Enrichment Programme and International Early Learning and Child Wellbeing Study (MoE), and contributed to the Kinder Book Series developed for the kindergarten department, ensuring engaging and effective resources for young learners.

As Kindergarten Supervisor, Ms Norma brings with her extensive hands-on experience and is highly skilled in Kindergarten teaching and leadership. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Teacher Training and Education Management as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Passionate about pedagogy and student engagement, she draws on her diverse experience across educational settings – from classroom practice to leadership – to foster a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for both children and educators.
