Ms. Sapna Burani

Ms. Sapna Burani joined GEMS Our Own English High School, Dubai, in September 2005 as a Teacher of English and has served as the Educational Supervisor since 2012. With over 24 years of teaching and leadership experience, she brings dedication, consistency, and a child‑centered approach to her role.

Ms. Sapna’s foremost priority has always been ensuring a smooth and confident transition of students into Middle School. She firmly believes that every child can succeed when provided with the right guidance, encouragement, and opportunities. Under her able leadership, her team works collaboratively to support the holistic development—academic, social, and emotional—of every student in their care.

A strong advocate for literacy, Ms. Sapna has been instrumental in initiating and embedding rich reading and writing programmes across the Phase. She has also guided and trained students for various inter‑school competitions, nurturing their confidence, creativity, and communication skills.

One of Ms. Sapna’s greatest strengths lies in her ability to build, mentor, and motivate teams. She believes in empowering teachers through trust, shared leadership, and continuous professional growth, enabling them to deliver their best for students. She values collaboration and works closely with parents, recognising them as key partners in a child’s educational journey.

Through open communication, strong relationships, and a shared commitment to excellence, Ms. Sapna strives to bring out the very best in students—helping them grow into responsible, confident, and compassionate learners.
