Sreeja Nair is an accomplished educational leader recognised for her strategic impact on teaching, learning, and whole-school improvement. With over two decades of experience, she brings a strong record of driving pedagogical excellence, innovation, and measurable gains in student outcomes within the GEMS network.
Beginning her journey at The Westminster School, Dubai, Sreeja progressed rapidly through leadership pathways, going on to assume senior roles including Deputy Head of Secondary and Assistant Principal at Westminster School Sharjah. She currently serves as Vice Principal, leading the Middle and Senior School, where she continues to drive high-impact initiatives that strengthen instructional quality, embed consistent teaching practices, and elevate student achievement.
Her leadership portfolio spans curriculum design, professional development, and community engagement, having served as Curriculum Manager, Professional Development Manager, Events Manager, and Parental Engagement Champion. She is widely recognised for advancing personalised learning and influencing practice beyond her own school.
Sreeja currently serves as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring robust safeguarding systems and a culture of student wellbeing. As an Excellence Fellow – Teach Like a GEM, she contributes to system-wide instructional improvement, driving the implementation and quality assurance of evidence-based teaching practices, coaching models, and professional learning frameworks.
She has also served as a lead inspector across multiple emirates, bringing deep insight into diverse educational settings. Sreeja holds the NPQH (UK) and an International Coaching License from COACH-U. Her leadership has been recognised at the Global 2.0 Conference in Dubai. She remains committed to building high-performing, inclusive, and future-ready learning environments.
