Ms. Sudha Srivalsan

Ms. Sudha Srivalsan brings over 30 years of dedicated experience in School Counselling and Inclusive Education. For the past two decades, she has been an integral part of GEMS Education, consistently working to empower students to realize their full potential—academically, emotionally, and socially.

As a dedicated counsellor, she is deeply committed to nurturing both the emotional well-being and career development of her learners. She believes in enabling young individuals to discover their strengths, overcome barriers, and pursue meaningful pathways aligned with their aspirations, while ensuring that every learner—regardless of background or ability—feels supported, valued, and equipped to succeed.

Until recently, she served as Head of Inclusion, where she led initiatives to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. In her current role as Senior School Counsellor & Guidance Counsellor, she provides holistic well-being and emotional counselling, supporting students in navigating academic, personal, and psychological challenges with resilience and confidence. Ms. Srivalsan also specializes in guiding students through comprehensive career planning, university admissions processes, and standardized test preparation strategies.

She holds a Master’s degree in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work and has further specialized in Special Education with a focus on Learning Disabilities. An internationally certified career coach, she holds the NCDA-CDF and GCDF credentials from the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE), integrating globally recognized, evidence-based practices into her work. She has both attended and facilitated numerous conferences and seminars on counselling, higher education, and learning disabilities hosted by reputed organizations and institutions.

Having worked across India, Bahrain, and the UAE, Ms. Srivalsan brings a rich global perspective and extensive experience working with individuals from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds. She remains passionate about empowering individuals with the clarity, confidence, resilience, and practical tools they need to navigate not only their professional journeys but also their personal growth with balance and purpose.
